A total of 130 juniors from across Western Australia attended the State Tennis Centre on the 9th & 10th August to try out for a place in the Hopman Cup 2015 ballkid squad.
Across the two days, juniors were put through their paces and were assessed on activities focused on rolling the ball, servicing the player, fitness, match scenarios, leadership and within group interviews to secure their spot in the Hopman Cup 2015 ballkid squad of 66.
Once the 66 ballkids have been notified of their position in the squad and completed the compulsory training sessions, they will be given the chance to be a ballkid at the Davis Cup tie at Cottesloe Tennis Club, the Perth Tennis International and the Hopman Cup 2015 Pro-Am, all leading up to the main event at Perth Arena from the 4th – 10th January, 2015.
