Does your club want to…
• bring new committee members on board?
• look at some bigger strategic issues?
• complete some of those wish list projects that there never seems enough time to do?
Volunteering WA, in partnership with the Department of Sport and Recreation, is pleased to present a session that has been tailored for Presidents and Committee members of sport and recreation clubs.
Following a successful session in April we are pleased to announce a new date for those that missed out last time, we will be holding another one on Tuesday 26th August.
There are many ways that skilled volunteers may be able to help your club; from financial planning and fundraising strategies, through to membership retention and mentoring, your imagination is the limit of the possibilities.
The purpose of the session will be to:
1. Guide participants through the process of scoping skills based volunteering projects in order to recruit highly skilled corporate volunteers.
2. Provide a forum to write advertisements for new committee members and get them posted on line.
The session will cover the following topics:
• How skills-based volunteering can assist your club.
• The skills-based volunteering process.
• How to scope skills-based volunteering projects.
This is a small, intimate workshop where you will be able to draw on the skills and knowledge of experienced Volunteering WA staff as they support you to think about how your organisation can develop projects and utilise skilled volunteers. Around half an hour of preparation will be required prior to the event to enable participants to maximise the time spent in the workshop.
Date: Tuesday 26th August
Time: 6pm to 8pm
Venue: Department of Sport and Recreation, 246 Vincent Street, Leederville WA 6007
(Limited parking is available on the premises)
Food and light refreshments will be provided.
