An opportunity is now available for interested persons to undertake Professional Tennis Coaching services on a regular basis under an agreement with the South Mandurah Tennis Club (SMTC).
The South Mandurah Tennis Club is located in Merlin Street, Falcon, WA 6210. The population in the Falcon/Halls Head is expanding. There is a large residential development taking place in the immediate vicinity of SMTC and three primary schools and the Halls Head Community College are located within 2kms.
SMTC offers year-round tennis for all levels of players on 10 well-maintained Plexipave courts, four of which are floodlit. Organised social tennis for senior players is provided five days a week, with social tennis for juniors on Friday afternoon’s. Membership for 2013/14 was 270, including 43 juniors.
The Club seeks an expression of interest to provide the services expected on a weekly basis throughout the year. The tennis coach or business selected will be listed on the Club’s website as the key contact for all tennis coaching at South Mandurah Tennis Club.
Key Responsibilities
- To promote and deliver both individual and group coaching, including appropriate tennis etiquette, to children, club members and the wider community
- To work with SMTC to increase Club membership and contribute to the success of SMTC generally
- To meet with SMTC personnel to provide an update on coaching programs developments, current activities and activities proposed to grow both the business and Club
- To commit to ongoing professional development opportunities to stay abreast of new developments in promoting tennis and coaching
- To comply with SMTC policies and procedures
- To maintain a high visibility in SMTC, and assist with promotion and running of Club events, including junior social tennis and open days, championships and junior tournament, and pennant teams.
- To comply with Tennis Australia Code of Conduct for Service Providers

Submissions close at 5pm on Friday, 10 October 2014. Once received presentations will be held with the Club Committee for selected candidates, with a final decision expected by 24 October 2014.
