Thank you to all those who were able to attend the Club Forum last Thursday, we had a fantastic turnout, with over 75 attendees from 38 different clubs.
May Club Forum Topics:
- Changes to the Associations Incorporation Act
- Template Model Rules
- Tennis Australia Policies & procedures.
New WA laws have been passed in relation to incorporated associations and clubs. The new laws will replace the existing Associations Incorporation Act 1987 and are expected to come into effect from 1 July 2016. As part of the new laws, all incorporated associations will have to update their constitutions/rules post 1 July 2016. It is hoped that the information from the forum and the template documents can be used by tennis clubs to assist with this process.
The Forum was recorded for those who were unable to attend, or those who would like to revisit anything that was spoken about on the night.

Tennis Australia have also developed a template constitution for tennis clubs in WA.
Tennis Australia have used the WA model rules for incorporated associations as a base document, and tailored and amended those model rules to form a constitution that is suitable for a tennis club (whilst still complying with the relevant legislation).
