Local Japanese drumming group Taiko On took to the streets of Perth on Saturday morning to support Team Japan ahead of their ATP Cup debut. Marching from Yagan Square to RAC Arena along with costumed dancers, the procession drew appreciation – and even some participation – from onlookers and fellow supporters.
Captained by Satoshi Yabushi and led by Yoshihito Nishioka, Team Japan went on to claim at 3 – 0 victory over Team Uruguay.
Catch Team Japan in action again on Monday 4 January against Team Georgia and on Wednesday 6 January against Team Spain, headlined by Rafael Nadal.
