The 2022 Perth Premier Rafa Nadal Junior event took over the State Tennis Centre last weekend, with over 90 of WA’s top U12s and U14s players taking to the court to compete for a spot in the Rafa Nadal Tour Masters Event.
With outstanding talent on display in singles and doubles matches, the players also took part in Values Activities—a significant focus of the tour to help players develop their off-court character, emphasising the values of humility, resilience, sportsmanship and commitment.
Offering a competitive playing environment as well as fostering and educating junior players on important values, the Rafa Nadal Tour is designed to build educative values to allow players to grow on and off the court.
The eight winning players from each U12 and U14 singles events as well as a corresponding Trophy of Values winner from each state and territory will progress to the end of circuit Australian Masters Event in Melbourne in 2023, with further Rafa Nadal Academy prizes on offer including flights to Spain to train at the Rafa Nadal Academy for two weeks.
