Following the findings of the Tennis Australia Tennis Integrity Unit report into the governance of Tennis in Western Australia, the Board of Tennis Australia supports the Tennis West Board and its recent decision to terminate the contract of its CEO Brett Patten.

Compliance, process and governance are non-negotiable principles and key to the success of the organisation and the sport throughout the country.

The Tennis Australia Integrity Unit Report has recommended a full audit of all Tennis West sponsorship arrangements and agreements. This investigation is currently underway.

We fully support the work the Tennis West Chairman Rod Van, his Board and their team have all done to grow the sport in WA.

Tennis Australia does not support the reinstatement of the former CEO nor would we support him returning as the United Cup General Manager.

Together with Tennis West, we are committed to finding a replacement for the Tennis West CEO role.
