Please find below a statement from Tennis Australia
Tennis Australia wants to reiterate its support of the Tennis West Board’s decision in relation to the removal of former Tennis West CEO, Brett Patten following a vote of no confidence.
With the evidence before it, Tennis Australia would have made the same decision.
Had the Tennis West Board not made the decision it did, Tennis Australia would have still been compelled to remove Brett Patten from his role as General Manager of the United Cup in Perth (which is directly funded by Tennis Australia).
Tennis Australia does not support any attempts to remove Tennis West Board members or reinstate the former Tennis West CEO.
Tennis Australia is committed to supporting tennis to flourish in the West under sound leadership.
