A week of competition, fellowship and rivalry has come to an end in Hobart at the 2024 Tennis Seniors Australia National Team Carnival.
Western Australia was best represented with a record 185 competitors across 30 teams with seven teams making the final.
Unfortunately, some teams stumbled at the final hurdle with some hamstrung by injury and some against quality opposition.
Congratulations to the three West Australian teams won their final:

Women’s 60 Division 3 – Captain Debra Kirk
Men’s 60 Division 1 – Captain Aldis Purins (pictured below)
Western Australia did itself proud at the Closing Presentation Dinner on Friday evening at Crowne-Plaza. A sell out with 104 WA players attending and supporting the winners, accounting for 25% of all tables.
Planning is already underway for the 2025 Tennis Seniors Australia National Teams Carnival in Adelaide from the 5th – 10th January 2025 and the 2025 ITF MT1000 Australian Individual Championships from the 12th – 17th January.
Start recruiting and building your teams for 2025 with the aim to have even more Western Australian teams in Adelaide. Secure your flights and accommodation before costs rise.
Finally, Tennis West welcomes any constructive feedback on the 2024 event so that we may provide a more positive player experience in 2025.
