The historic CBH Group Country Week Carnival will return to Alexander Park next Friday when hundreds of country tennis players descend into Perth.
Longstanding country tennis supporters for over ten years, CBH Group will again sponsor the Country Week Carnival.
The Country Week Carnival is one of the biggest tennis events in Western Australia and has a rich history with some of the best players in WA coming from the regional areas.
A new addition to this year’s event will be the social doubles. Social doubles will be a chance for players to gather their partners and compete socially in a men’s, ladies or mixed category in a timed round-robin format on Saturday 6 April kicking off at 1.00 pm.
Saturday is set to be a big day with the Legends Exhibition Match at 4.30 pm, featuring former country stars displaying their talent on the court.
At the conclusion of the Legends Exhibition Match, Tennis West will host the Legends Sundowner where guests can gather, celebrate and reminisce about the day’s matches.
New to this year, prize money will be awarded to the top division of the Men’s & Ladies Singles & Doubles.
Last year, Joshua Carter from the Mid West claimed his 2nd consecutive men’s championship singles title, defeating Bastien Henrotin from the South Coast.
After a two-year hiatus, the women’s singles championship was fought out with Naomi-Mariana Vakadranu from Peel defeating Alexandra Riggall from Lower Great Southern.
The CBH Country Week Championships start on Friday, April 5 at Alexander Park Tennis Club. Entries close tomorrow. Enter here.
Tennis West would like to thank CBH Group for their ongoing support of the Country Week Carnival.
