Easter and School Holiday Event Numbers Up from Last Year

The Easter and Term 1 School Holidays and perfect Autumn weather saw record numbers across most tournaments across the state.

A total of nine tennis events in Perth and regional Western Australia featuring 1,620 participants from all over the state competed in the events.

The Beverley Annual Easter Event (253 participants in 2023 to 290 participants in 2024), Bridgetown Easter Event (241 up to 273 participants), Royal Kings Park Easter Event (170 up to 200 participants) and the CBH Group Country Carnival (116 up to 125 participants) all saw an increase in participation numbers.

The 2024 Rafa Nadal Tour returned to its usual April slot with the winning players from each 12/u and 14/u singles events, as well as a corresponding Trophy of Values winner progressing to the end of circuit Australian Masters event set for January 2025. The Rafa Nadal Tour has a strong focus on sport and education combining the tournament aspect with dynamic and fun educational activities (classroom and physical).

The Seniors State Championships and Preston Street IGA Hensman Junior Event are currently in progress with good numbers for both events.
