Tennis’ strategic commitment is to be a global leader in inclusion and diversity. Our vision is no limits for Women and Girls on and off the court. We are committed to increasing and supporting women leaders in tennis. To achieve this, Tennis is providing an opportunity for women in the community to complete its Women Leaders in Tennis (WLIT) program. Program graduates will gain a vast range of learning and experiences within the leadership domain as well as mentoring and support.
The program aims to inspire, connect, and educate current and prospective women leaders in tennis.
How?
- Ensuring an equal voice for women in tennis
- Building leadership knowledge, skills and confidence of current and prospective community leaders
- Creating a network of women community leaders both locally and nationally
- Increasing participation of women and girls in community leadership roles in clubs/venues
- Recruiting and retaining women community leaders
Who should apply?
- Current and prospective community leaders who are in paid or volunteer roles in tennis clubs/venues
- Club volunteers, community activators, program/event leaders or club committee members
- Senior club leaders (i.e., club president, coach)
Program fee –
The program is fully subsided and successful candidates will not incur any cost. (Program is valued at $4,000).
