Tennis West recently had the pleasure of hosting over 200 SEDA College WA Year 11 students at the State Tennis Centre, providing them with an immersive introduction to the various departments within Tennis West. These induction days offered students a comprehensive experience, both on-court and off-court, showcasing the diverse aspects of working within a State Sporting Association like Tennis West.
SEDA College WA is renowned for its partnerships with leading sports organisations, offering students real-world industry exposure and opportunities. The program integrates the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) with Vocational Education and Training (VET), allowing students to gain invaluable industry experience through unique inductions, community events, and work placements. This blend of education and hands-on experience equips students with the skills and knowledge to pursue future educational and employment pathways.
The partnership between Tennis West and SEDA College WA is a mutually beneficial one. Students gain memorable, practical learning experiences, while Tennis West benefits from the enthusiasm and support of students who contribute to the growth of the sport. Many students have successfully transitioned through this pathway, securing employment with Tennis West and launching their careers in the sporting industry.

This week would not have been possible without the ongoing grant program available through Tennis West, supported by Healthway and Fuel To Go & Play. Thanks to them, we were able to provide all of the students with morning tea and lunch.
