Tennis West is pleased to announce the appointment of member elected directors Angela Nutton and Flora Furness to the Tennis West Board, following the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 12th November 2024. 

Elected from a strong pool of candidates, Angela and Flora were voted as the best fit candidates by the members, demonstrating they have the required and identified skills to fill gaps on the Board.  

The two successful new board members each demonstrated their exemplary experience to support the Board’s strategic plan and future vision and are all committed to seeing the sport of tennis thrive. 

Angela brings over 20 years of leadership experience in strategic planning, media management, and business development, with a deep passion for community engagement and sports. As the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Longreach Media, she has successfully led teams, cultivated strong stakeholder relationships, and driven organisational growth. Angela’s career spans media, marketing, and sponsorship, with expertise in governance and managing complex operations. Her Board experience with Marketforce and Days of Change has strengthened her ability to provide strategic oversight. Committed to Tennis West’s mission, Angela is focused on promoting inclusivity and ensuring the long-term success of tennis across the state. 

Flora brings over 20 years of executive experience in Community and Engagement, Stakeholder Management, and Diversity and Inclusion. A lifelong tennis enthusiast, Flora’s passion for the sport began at age 9 and continues today through active involvement at Nedlands Tennis Club with her family. Throughout her career, she has driven business growth, championed women in leadership, and mentored young athletes. Flora’s expertise includes leadership, community engagement, and fostering inclusion. She has served as CEO, COO, and Executive, and currently sits on several boards, including Perth Gymnastics Academy and Lisle Retirement Villages. Flora is eager to contribute to Tennis West’s mission and impact.
