The month-long tour around the state with the United Cup trophy wrapped up last week and made its way back to Sydney.
The trophy continued its journey out to various Fuel to Go & Play Red Ball Competitions (RBC) including key RBC Kardinya and Geraldton RBC’s.
The trophy also made its way to the sands of Beach Tennis WA in Scarborough as well as providing an opportunity for young players from coaching providers Tennis Central at Robertson Park Tennis Club.
It wasn’t only Perth getting the chance to see the impressive trophy with a trip up north to Geraldton. Many locals at Tarcoola Park Tennis Club and Geraldton Tennis Club got the chance to see the trophy before the trophy along with a visit to the Geraldton RBC with over 200 students able to get up close to the trophy. The tour then made it’s way back down to Perth stopping at the Pinnacles.
The second half of the trophy tour allowed for the Brazil, Croatia, Greece, Germany and USA consulates the chance to see the cup in its glory with United Cup Tournament Director Stephen Farrow part of the trip.
Before heading off to Sydney, the Perth ball kids got to see the trophy before their first official ball kid training session at the State Tennis Centre.
The United Cup begins on the 27th December and concludes with the city quarterfinals on the 1st January 2025. Grab your tckets to the United Cup here.
